Tanalising is the treatment process used on timber to protect against rot and decay. Timber goes into a tank of treatment and the pressure increased to force the treatment into the timber. The majority of our posts that are to be in ground contact are redwood timber, treated to UC4, for 15 year life expectancy.
The timber goes into a tank of treatment, like a bath, ensuring the timber gets covered. This is then left to dry. Our products that are dip treated have a golden brown finish. If you have a dip treated lap panel we recommend retreating with a preserver after a couple of years to ensure product longevity.
