It contains oils and resins that will protect it and make it resistant to absorbing moisture. We recommend cleaning your Iroko entrance gates and applying a protective finish periodically, but you’ll find that upkeep is much easier than with other timbers.Iroko is much less prone to issues such as weather and temperature induced warping, decay and insect damage, which can sometimes be found in other timbers.
