Coffee Morning 20 July for Weldmar Hospicecare

Coffee, cake & fundraising

heart shape coffee mugs and macaroons

We are hosting a Coffee Morning in aid of Weldmar Hospicecare, supporting Jim and Carol Pitcher who are fundraising by trekking around Nepal. They are paying their own expenses and all donations will go to Weldmar.

Remembering Emma

Jim and Carol’s daughter, Emma was diagnosed with breast cancer aged 32. She died aged 37 at the Joseph Weld Hospice in Dorchester in May 2012. Jim and Carol described the treatment and care at the hospice as “outstanding”.

Nepal trek

Jim and Carol will be trekking for five days in high altitude and basic conditions. They will also volunteer at a hospice in Kathmandu.

They hope to raise £7000 and every penny donated will go to Weldmar Hospicecare to help them continue to provide specialist palliative care to others like Emma. Her mum said: “We will be forever grateful to Weldmar who made an impossibly sad time bearable.”
